FULLNESS RATIO FOR THE CURTAINS The fullness ratio for curtains refers to the ratio of the width of the fabric used in the curtains to the width of the window they're covering. This ratio determines how much fabric is gathered or pleated to create a fuller look when the curtains are drawn closed. A common fullness ratio is 2:1, which means that for every one inch of window width, you would use two inches of fabric width. However, this can vary depending on the desired style and fabric weight. Thicker fabrics or more elaborate styles might require a higher fullness ratio to achieve the desired look. For example, if your window is 60 inches wide, you might use 120 inches of fabric width for a 2:1 fullness ratio. Adjustments can be made based on personal preference and the specific design goals for the space.
